The Village of Tiskilwa has partnered with Hungry World Farm and arranged for free curbside leaf disposal on  November 6th and November 20th. 

ALL LEAVES MUST BE PLACED INTO PAPER YARD LEAF BAGS. 

ALL OTHER TYPES OF BAGS OR GARBAGE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 

Residents must place their yard leaf bags onto the curbside by 8am on the dates mentioned above.

FREE Paper Yard Bags can be picked up from Zigs Station during normal operating hours with proof of residency.

All bags picked up during these dates will be delivered to Hungry World Farms so that they may repurpose the leaves.

We thank Hungry World Farms for giving us a safe alternative to burning in hopes to improve the air quality in the Village.

As a Reminder:

 

Burning is permitted from April 1 through May 1 and October 1 through November 30 of each year on the designated days of Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday ONLY. Any resident burning on nonpermitted days may recieves fines accordingly.
