A new park grant has been opened through the IDNR. This grant will pay 100% of the cost for distressed communities, and Tiskilwa is on the list. This grant requires public input and involvement, so including this at the upcoming meeting is a perfect time for this. The deadline for this grant is September 30th, so time is of the essence, that is why it has been decided to add this to the upcoming meeting.

Some items that are currently being looked into by the board would include the renovation of the tennis court into a multi use court which would include basketball, tennis, and pickleball with added lighting. A parking area with handicap accessibility as well as sidewalks to and from the parking area. The removal of the old slide and teeter totter to be replaced with sensory playground equipment as well as removing all of the mulch around the equipment to be replaced with rubber mulch.
